Dr. Odom is a native of Louisiana and received a B.S. from Louisiana
Tech in Ruston, Louisiana. He then received his DDS from Louisiana State
University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry in 1984. He was
accepted directly after dental school into the Endodontic post graduate
program at LSU and received his Certificate in Endodontics from LSUHSC
in 1986.
He practiced for 1 year in New Orleans with Endodontic Specialists,
and then started a private practice in Cary, North Carolina in
1987. He was the first endodontist in North Carolina to utilize microscopes
in his practice in 1990.
He has served as an officer in the State Endodontic Association,
(Tarheel Endo) and has also served on several committees at the national
level with the American Association of Endodontists. He is an adjunct
assistant professor at UNC-CH school of Dentistry and LSUHSC School of
Dentistry.
Dr. Odom is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the
American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the Wake
County Dental Association.
